Yard 56

Located at the former Pemco industrial site in southeast Baltimore, the Yard 56 development has transformed the long-abandoned, dilapidated 20-acre property into a contemporary mixed-use destination. With Phase I completed in 2020 and Phase II in the works, the project is slated to include a total 2.2 million SF of retail, office, residential, and lifestyle space. CEI began providing plans for the $77 million Phase I in 2018. Structural designs included multiple retail and restaurant buildings totaling 190,000 SF. The Phase I shopping center is anchored by a 34,000-SF LA Fitness and a 20,000-SF Streets Market specialty grocer. Designs for Phase II are already underway and include the 7-story Bayview Lofts residential building, an 82,000-SF medical office building, and garage space with parking for more than 600 vehicles. CEI provided full structural designs for the new development, emphasizing convenience and modern urban living.
