Since opening in 2018, the Army Reserve Center in White Plains has accommodated more than 3,000 reservists each year. The new facility, which encompasses 15 acres, consolidated three smaller reserve centers into a state-of-the-art military training compound totaling 90,000 SF. To ensure immediate occupancy of the building and grounds, our team provided project phasing plans to allow for demolition to occur after the new facility was already operational. Due to the specific military usage requirements of the center, much of the site was left as open space, requiring extensive stormwater management and grading to manage runoff. Our team coordinated with MDE for permit approval. CEI provided full civil and landscape architectural designs for the new building footprint, surface parking, two access drives, military vehicle maintenance yards and secured vehicle storage yards, new utilities, and demolition of the existing structures on-site.
