The Shops at Kenilworth

A long-time staple in the Towson community for boutique shopping, events, and dining, The Shops at Kenilworth unveiled a major modernization in 2017. The $20 million project, which included extensive renovations and a 3-story addition, refreshed the 35-year-old mall with a contemporary appearance and replacement of outdated infrastructure. The facelift provides more natural light inside, two new restaurants and a rooftop terrace, new flooring, and functional upgrades for new escalators and stairs. With the redesign and expansion, the new Kenilworth Mall totals 154,000 SF. CEI provided full structural designs for the 35,000-SF addition and renovations.

Highlights

  • Building structural designs included exterior façade upgrades, a new grand entrance, and a 3-story addition.
  • The project was phased to allow the mall to remain open throughout construction with limited disruption.
