Baltimore County Pump Stations

Since 2009, Carroll Engineering has completed assessment and renovation services at more than 10 pump stations within Baltimore County. Each year, the county invests more than $40 million in projects to upkeep and modernize aging water and wastewater infrastructure. By retrofitting existing pump stations with new technologies and equipment, these projects increase the efficiency and reliability of the entire system, while also minimizing environmental impacts. Typical work includes a comprehensive civil and structural assessment of the pump station, equipment, and utilities. Our team evaluates the building, access roadways, sidewalks, pumps, wetwells and drywells, vaults, catwalks and platforms, and site drainage. This inspection is followed by designs to upgrade and repair any outdated, deteriorated, or failing systems. Our team has provided renovation work for concrete repairs repointing, waterproofing, repaving access drives and sidewalks, replacement of rusted guardrails and access ladders, regrading, clearing of storm drain inlets, and installation of new grinders and pumps.
