Historic Structures

Woodstock Equestrian Center
 

Site:  Brewer Farm and Mary Fisher Farm
Client:  Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission
Location:  Prince George's County, MD

CEI worked with Frederick Ward Associates to redevelop the Brewer and Mary Fisher Farms for the Woodstock Special Park Equestrian Center. Our structural scope was to complete a structural physical condition assessment on the seven still standing structures and recommend repairs/upgrades for each one. Our staff visited the Brewer Farm Spring House, Manager's House, three farm Equipment Buildings and Wood Barn along with the Mary Fisher Farm Senecca Stone Barn, all which are listed on the Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties. The Spring House was found to be in good condition considering its age with the overall structure was judged to be sound and stable and in need of some maintenance. Repair recommendations were specified for the exterior joint repointing, concrete surface cleaning.
