Timonium II Parking Garage

Client:  Merritt Properties
Location:  Baltimore County, MD

CEI completed structural designs for a 3-story parking garage structure over an old quarry. Our staff coordinated with Herbst/Benson and Geostructures to define a method of augering and rammed aggregate piers for the identification of the fill (soft sandy clays) and natural soil interface. The parking structure consisted of reinforced concrete construction with unbonded post-tensioning, spread footing, a Geopier foundation system, and exterior brick. Garage totaled 104,000 gross square feet and contained 680 spaces.
