Stevenson University Caves Sports & Wellness Center

CEI was the structural engineer of record to convert the 2-story, 36,000 gross square foot former Raven NFL Training Facility into a sports and wellness center. CEI was responsible for a structural physical condition assessment, coordination of structure load testing, current code analysis, preparation of structural construction documents and construction administration. The building’s first floor contained a fitness center, racquetball court, athletic staff offices and a hydro-therapy room. The second floor contained classrooms, study areas, faculty offices and the Wellness Center. CEI completed structural engineering services on an aggressive schedule that began in April 2005 and had the building opened for students in September 2006. Facility was located adjacent to the gymnasium and outdoor tennis courts to form a "wellness" campus area.
