Liberty Reservoir Dam Renovation
 

Site:  Liberty Dam
Client:  City of Baltimore Department of Public Works
Location:  Baltimore & Carroll Counties, MD

CEI determined causes of concrete spalling and surface deterioration of the north and south downstream abutments, the interior expansion joint drains, site issues and interior chamber concrete surface deterioration and water intrusion. CEI completed field visits to hammer test and document spalled, delaminated and cracked areas of both abutments along with interior surfaces of both chambers. Our staff devised and specified method for cleaning the discharge and vertical portions of the drain and coordinated with driver to review the below water surface conditions of the water intake structure and screens.
