Location:  Baltimore City, MD

CEI completed a variety of structural engineering services for the adaptive re-use of a former Baltimore City DOT Garage to transform the structure into a homeless 275-bed shelter with a 25-bed convalescent floor. CEI completed a structural physical condition assessment and code analysis of the garage to provide major structural rehabilitation goals to the Project Architect. The largest structural issue was how to cost effectively construct a third floor, approximately 12,000 gross square feet, on top of the existing roof.
