Fort Smallwood Fishing Pier

Client:  Baltimore City Recreation & Parks Department
Location:  Anne Arundel County, MD

The Fort Smallwood fishing pier has been an area favorite for years. It suffered significant damage in Hurricane Isabel and was completely rebuilt. Repair of the concrete approach and surrounding bulkhead were also part of this unique project. Two jurisdictions were involved as the pier is owned by Baltimore City and the park is in Anne Arundel County. Services provided included all structural design and construction administration along with liaison between the City, County, FEMA and the U.S. Coast Guard.
