Doswell E. Brooks Elementary School

Client:  Prince George's County Public Schools
Location:  Prince George's County, MD

CEI completed structural condition assessments, renovation designs on the existing 47,100 gross square foot facility and two additions totaling 10,500 gross square feet. Structural plans specified how to enclose and roof the existing inner courtyard in order to create additional classroom and media center space. Our interior steel columns were hidden within walls to the greatest extent possible. The existing exterior walls had varying heights, requiring modifications to support the new roof framing. Plans and specifications were completed per PGCPS and IAC requirements.
