CCBC Catonsville Campus Print Shop
Site: CCBC Catonsville Campus
Client: Community College of Baltimore County
Location: Baltimore County, MDCEI prepared civil and structural engineering plans on this Baltimore County project under a Design/Build Contract for Phillips Way. This fast-track project constructed a 2-story, 18,000 square foot pre-engineered structure to function as a Print Shop. Our structural designs included standard concrete spread foundation and north masonry foundation wall, coordination with VARCO-PRUDEN the building manufacturer and reinforced slab-on-grade. Structural calculations for the slab-on-grade reinforcement included print equipment live and dead loadings. CEI visited the field during construction to verify construction progress. CEI answered a key structural RFI when pre-engineered building supplier shipped undersized roof trusses, which caused us to reanalyze and resupport the installed trusses to satisfy the IBC building code requirements.
