Renovations at Oriole Park at Camden Yards

Client: Maryland Stadium Authority
Location: Baltimore City, MDUnveiled for Oriole Park's 20th anniversary, a number of renovations have been completed this year to keep Baltimore's signature baseball stadium current. In 2009, CEI provided structural services for a seating upgrade at Camden Yards, including improvements to the lower, intermediate and upper levels. In total, 48,000 seats were replaced, with the final phase beginning in 2011. CEI was also selected to prepare structural renovation plans for the stadium's bullpen picnic grove. Innovative designs were necessary to accommodate the area's new key feature: A collection of six sculptures, sized between 7 and 8 feet tall and weighing some 1,000 pounds each. Most recently, CEI provided full structural services for the new upper-level restaurant/bar in left field, which required the addition of a new second floor above an existing structure. Now open, the bar is receiving rave reviews.
