MERVO High School Renovation
Site: Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School
Client: Baltimore City Public Schools
Location: Baltimore City, MDMERVO is the largest BCPS facility and required major repairs and upgrades per the physical condition assessment completed in part by CEI. Our staff developed EDSPECS and prepared construction documents for the facility, adjacent grounds and stadium. Site designs combined two inadequate athletic fields into one stadium area with a football/soccer field, a 6-lane running track, bleachers, a concession stand and individual track event areas. CEI also designed a 16- foot high concrete retaining wall, front entrance handicap access ramp, pavement striping for improved site circulation and overall handicap accessibility. City developer's agreement plans and supporting documents were prepared for the necessary utility service upgrades.
