France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Hippodrome Theatre
Site: East Baltimore Downtown Area
Client: Maryland Stadium Authority
Location: Baltimore City, MDCEI completed civil designs for the redevelopment of a tight, urban Baltimore City block site bounded by Fayette, Eutaw, Baltimore, and Paca Streets. Our staff prepared plans for revised site entrance locations, loading dock traffic circulation, parking, walkways, dumpster locations and utility services. Six existing buildings on the 2.3-acre site were impacted by construction. Four buildings, including the Hippodrome Theatre, were renovated. Two buildings were demolished to clear site for a new rear service drive and a new 2-story South Building. Project was designed to Baltimore City CHAP, Maryland Historical Trust and Downtown Partnership regulations.
