Hammerman Beach Area Services Building
 

Site:  Gunpowder State Park, Hammerman Area Beach
Client:  Maryland DGS/DNR
Location:  Baltimore County, MD

CEI completed civil/site and structural improvement designs for a beach services/community building. CEI was responsible for obtaining twelve points for the LEED certification. We minimized the construction area, recycled rainwater, eliminated a certain level of pollutes and recycled wood from the demolished building for deck framing. CEI attended LEED charrettes during the early phases of the project and completed narratives for ten credited items. Hammerman obtained the LEED silver rating in June 2009 - one of the first Maryland DGS projects to do so.
