Clifton T. Perkins 48-Bed Addition

CEI completed civil/site designs for a 48-bed addition with an adjacent recreation area and a 200-vehicle parking lot at the center. By analyzing and revising traffic circulation through the main parking lot, our team was able to provide proper vehicle access into a proposed rear lot as well. Our Project Engineer coordinated directly with Maryland Department of the Environment to prepare comprehensive stormwater management plans that incorporated beneficial bio-retention areas adjacent to two ponds on the property. In order to meet MDE standards, CEI directed the total rehabilitation of one existing stormwater management pond as well as the clearing and grubbing of nearly 1.7 acres of woodlands. Our engineers designed safe and effective storm drainage systems to discharge into both on-site ponds and also prepared site-improvement construction documents for grading, walkways, utility services to a water fountain, security fencing, and erosion and sediment control. Before the project was bid, CEI obtained MDE approval for the proposed work.
