BWI Hiker/Biker Trail
 

Site:  BWI International Airport
Client:  Maryland SHA
Location:  Anne Arundel County, MD

BWI International Airport required sensitive site considerations during design of the hiker/biker trail around the site. CEI completed civil coordination and structural design for 8 sections of wood framed boardwalk to lift the BWI hiker/biker trail off wetlands. Our staff defined limits, profiles, abutments, member sizes and foundations. Boardwalk was designed for light maintenance vehicle and lateral wind loads.
